![]() ![]() I did not have time to test everything, but at least I'm not finding any sound quality problems/differences other than sound cutting. There are two main problems: 1) some dongles have audio dropping/cutting problem (audio pops randomly), 2) all A2DP dongles have a very, very limited range (few meters or less with obstacles).ĭifferences between SBC, AAC, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD? There probably are differences, but so far I have not been able to hear any difference between those, nor have I been able to detect latency differences. It seems for example Avantree Leaf might have a greater range, but I need the controls so those won't work for me.Ī good A2DP (then one with the controls supported) adapter does not exist, or if it does, I haven't found it. ![]() I have not tested the audio transmitter type adapters (audio class device), which do not support "multimedia" controls (play/pause, volume etc.). For some reason a phone can manage a fairly reasonable connection to the headphones, much greater distance or obstacle immunity than any dongle can do. It has become clear to me that at least on Windows, the A2DP Bluetooth technology for headphones is not doing very well. I have now tested numerous USB Bluetooth dongles in order to find a reasonable, working dongle to be used with WH-1000XM4 with Windows 10. ![]()
